The weeds in the wheat

Throughout history there have often been the faithful and the frauds, side-by-side. It is often not easy to identify which each person is. One day in the desert the ground opened up and swallowed a large group of the frauds. But that was just one day. On most days there are people who act religious, yet behind the scenes behave in ways repugnant to the God they say they follow. Of course we all sin, but some make a habit of pretending piety to cover a lifestyle  that is antithetical to their declared faith. I am not trying to address people who do not even recognize the God who made them.  This post is about the frauds. Jesus spoke of the wheat and the tares (or the weeds), growing side by side until harvest time, when it is abundantly obvious which plants are really wheat. The harvest is coming.  Are you a pretender? Or is your faith real?
